We make this recipe for shredded chicken tacos all the time because it only requires 4 ingredients.


Servings: 3 – 4

  • 1.5 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • 2 tablespoons of taco seasoning
  • 1 16 oz. jar of salsa, any variety
  • Corn tortillas


Total prep time: 15 minutes

  1. Place chicken in crockpot and sprinkle with seasoning. Coat with salsa.
  2. Cook on low for 5 to 6 hours or high for 2 to 3 hours.
  3. Shred chicken with a fork before spreading on corn tortillas.
  4. Top with sour cream and avocado, if you want.
