The simple steak recipe with Mediterranean marinade loaded with flavors of garlic and herbs and subtle flavoring of lemon is perfect when you feel like pampering yourself. Toss the herbs following the simple recipe and enjoy restaurant-style steak at home.
Ingredients
- Beef steaks, 1 lb
- Extra virgin olive oil, 2 tbsp
- Salt, to taste
- Ground black pepper, to taste
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- 4 bay leaves, chopped
- 4 scallions, chopped
- 2 lemons, thinly sliced
- Vegetable oil, for greasing
Preparation
- In a large baking dish, add steaks and season with salt and pepper. Add olive oil and rub to coat.
- Sprinkle bay leaves, scallions and garlic ion top of the steak and rub to adjust flavors. Cover with lemon slices on all sides.
- Cover and marinate for 24 hours in the refrigerator.
- To cook, grease the grill with vegetable oil and place the steak on the grill over med-high heat. Grill for 5 minutes per side before flipping it over. Cook until it reaches your desired doneness.
- When done, transfer to a serving platter and serve.
