Ingredients

  • T-bone steak, 1 ½ lb
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Barbecue sauce, ½ cup
  • Beer, ¼ cup
  • Vegetable oil, 2 tbsp
  • Honey, ½ cup
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Lemon rind (grated), 1 tbsp

Preparation

  1. Combine barbecue sauce, vegetable oil, honey, lemon juice, and lemon rind in a mixing bowl. Mix well. Add salt and pepper and mix.
  2. Apply this mixture on the T-bone steak and rub to adjust flavors well. Marinate for 2 hours.
  3. Grease a large skillet. Add marinated steak over med-high heat. Cook for 5 minutes on one side undisturbed. Flip and continue cooking on the other side until it reaches desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and place on a serving platter.
  4. Cover with foil for 10 minutes and let the flavors absorb nicely.
  5. Serve warm with mashed potatoes on the side and more crushed black pepper on the top.
