This is a simple; yet flavor recipe that only takes around an hour to prepare. The end result will be so appetizing that it is a guarantee that you will be making it again.

Ingredients

  • 8 cups of onion (sliced)
  • 3/4 cup of fontina cheese (shredded and divided)
  • 1/2 tsp of white pepper
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of olive oil
  • 1 tbsp of thyme (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil (divided)
  • 1 pound of whole-wheat refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 1/2 oz. of pancetta (chopped)

Preparation

  1. Follow the instructions on the packets to prepare the dough for the pizza.
  2. In the meantime, put 1 tsp of olive oil into a skillet placed over medium-high heat.
  3. Include pancetta and sauté it for about 2 minutes.
  4. Include thyme, onions, salt, and white pepper and cook for about 25 minutes, stirring often.
  5. Preheat your oven to 475 degrees Fahrenheit.
  6. Brush the pizza crust using 1 1/2 tsp of oil.
  7. Add 1/2 of the onion mixture over the crust.
  8. Sprinkle 1/2 of cheese over the crust.
  9. Bake the pizza at 475 degrees Fahrenheit.
  10. Slice the pizza into 8 slices.
  11. Serve.
