Most grandmothers are famous for their meatloaf. If your grandmother lives far away, you will not be able to eat her delicious meatloaf.

For this reason, we have bought grandma’s meatloaf recipe to you.

Ingredients

Glaze:

  • 1/2 cup of ketchup
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar

Meatloaf:

  • Cooking spray
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 1/2 green bell pepper (chopped)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 lightly beaten eggs
  • 1 tsp of dried thyme
  • 1 tsp of salt (seasoned)
  • 1/2 tsp of black pepper
  • 2 tsp of mustard
  • 2 tsp of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp of hot pepper sauce
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 2/3 cup of oats (quick cooking)
  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 1/2 pound of ground pork
  • 1/2 pound of ground veal

Preparation

  1. Add sugar, apple cider vinegar, and ketchup in a bowl and mix.
  2. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  3. Use cooking spray to coat two loaf pans (9 X 5).
  4. Place the green pepper and onion in a bowl, place it in the microwave for 2 minutes, and let it cool.
  5. Put eggs, thyme, garlic, salt, mustard, black pepper, hot sauce, milk, Worcestershire sauce, and oats in a bowl and mix.
  6. Add in the green pepper and onion.
  7. Add the pork, beef, and veal next.
  8. Mix all the ingredients together using your hands.
  9. Divide the mixture in half and flatten half of it into each pan.
  10. Brush each loaf with glaze and put the rest aside.
  11. Bake the mixture in the over for about 50 minutes.
  12. Take out pan from the oven and drain the fat.
  13. Brush each loaf with glaze and put it in the oven to bake for 10 minutes.
  14. Take out the pan from the oven and allow it cook for about 15 minutes before serving.
