Sweet And Sour Crispy Beef With Rice(6 of 6)

Ingredients
- 1 onion (peeled and cut into chunks)
- 1 piece of fresh ginger (peeled and chopped)
- 1 red pepper (cut into chunks)
- 1 tsp of rice vinegar
- 2 garlic cloves (peeled and crushed)
- 2 tbsp of cornstarch
- 3 tbsp of caster sugar
- 3 tbsp of vegetable oil
- 4 scallions (chopped diagonally)
- 5 tbsp of soy sauce
- 500 grams of beef sirloin steak (chopped into long strips)
- A pinch of salt and black pepper
- Juice from 2 oranges
- Prepared boiled rice
- Zest of half orange
Preparation
- In a frying pan, heat oil.
- Combine the beef with cornstarch, salt, and black pepper to coat it.
- Place the beef in the pan to crisp it for 10 minutes.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove the beef from the pan and put it in a bowl lined with paper towel to soak all the oil.
- Combine sugar, orange juice, soy sauce, zest, ginger, garlic, and rice vinegar.
- Reduce the heat of the pan, add red pepper, onion, and fry for 2 minutes.
- Pour red pepper and onion mixture over the orange mixture.
- Increase the heat, bring to a boil, and add the beef, stirring for 1 minute.
- Pour the beef sauce over the boiled rice, garnish with scallions, and serve.
