Ingredients

  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 3 cups of prepared boiled rice
  • 3 cups of beef broth
  • 2 tbsp of cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp of vegetable oil
  • 1 pound of sirloin tip steak (cut into 1-inch cubes)
  • 1 onion (sliced)

Preparation

  1. Slice the beef into 1-inch cubes.
  2. Place a saucepan on the stove over medium heat.
  3. Add oil into it.
  4. Add the beef, onions, and stir.
  5. Include the beef broth and bring it to a boil.
  6. Cover the pan, decrease the heat to medium-low, and let it simmer for 1 hour.
  7. Combine cornstarch and cold water in a bowl and stir.
  8. Gradually add the cornstarch into the pan with the beef and stir.
  9. Let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  10. Serve it over rice.
