Ingredients
- Pasta, 1 lb
- Whole milk, 1 ½ cups
- Shredded cheddar cheese, 3 cups
- All-purpose flour, 2 tbsp
- Salt, ½ tsp
- Ground mustard, ¼ tsp
- Broccoli, to serve
Preparation
- Boil pasta following the directions on the packaging
- Prepare cheese sauce. Heat 1 cup milk in a saucepan. In a bowl, whisk together ½ cup milk and flour until thoroughly combined. When the milk is warm, add this mixture and stir until the mixture starts to thicken. Cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Add cheese in the mixture in batches and continue to mix. Season with salt and mustard. Continue cooking until the cheese has melted and incorporated.
- In a serving bowl, combine pasta and cheese and serve immediately.
