  • 900 grams of potatoes flour (unpeeled)
  • 50 grams of butter (salted)
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 225 grams of white flour (plain)


  • 100 grams of butter (salted)
  • 6 shallots (sliced)
  • 3 cloves of garlic (chopped)
  • 200 grams of samphire
  • 2 packets of parsley (chopped)


  1. Make the gnocchi by cooking the potatoes in hot water for 40 to 50 minutes.
  2. Peel off the skin and press them through a potato ricer or a sieve into a bowl.
  3. Add 1 tsp of salt, butter, 1/2 of flour, and egg into the warm potatoes.
  4. Mix the ingredients together and pour them onto a board.
  5. Knead the flour to create a smooth and soft consistency.
  6. Roll out the dough, making them into sausages.
  7. Slice the dough, cutting them into 2 centimeters pieces and place them on a tea towel.
  8. In a pan, bring the water to a boil and put the gnocchi into it.
  9. Let it cook for about 2 to 3 minutes.
  10. Use a slotted spoon to remove them from the pan.
  11. In another pan, heat the butter and add garlic and shallots.
  12. Soften it for about 5 to 6 minutes.
  13. Add samphire and cook for an additional 4 to 6 minutes.
  14. In the same pan, add the gnocchi and top it off with parsley.
  15. Mix and serve.
