Ingredients
Servings: 10
- 1 slow cooker liner
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp of sugar
- 4 tsp of tapioca
- 1 tsp of apple pie spice
- 1/2 tsp of apple pie spice
- 1 tbsp of butter (melted)
- 1 1/2 pounds of apples (cooked, peeled, cored, and cut into 1/2 inch slices)
- 1 packet of crescent rolls
- Butter pecan ice cream
- 1 can of tart cherries (pitted)
- 1/2 cup of cherries (dried)
Preparation
Total prep time: 25 minutes
Total cook time: 3 – 6 hours
- In 4-quart slow cooker, place tapioca, sugar, and apple pie spice.
- Stir in canned cherries (undrained), apple slices, and dried cherries.
- Cover slow cooker and cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 3 hours.
- To make spiced triangles, add 1 tbsp of sugar and 1/2 tsp of apple pie spice in a bowl.
- Unroll 8 crescent rolls, separate them, brush them with 1 tbsp of melted butter, and sprinkle with the cinnamon mixture.
- Cut 1 large triangle into 3 smaller triangles.
- Place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the oven for about 8 to 10 minutes at 375 degree Fahrenheit.
- Allow them to cool.
- Serve with the apple and cherry mixture.
- Top it with spiced triangles and butter pecan ice cream.
The recipe directions do not make sense – do you pour the butter/rum mixture over the bananas while in the crockpot at some point? Also, would love to see the other recipes, but where do you click, I keep ending up on ads?
