Slow Cooker Pumpkin Turkey Chili(1 of 5)

This chili is easy to make and is bound to please everyone around. It can also be treated as an amazing base and you can spice it up as you desire. Cooking time can also be adjusted according to your requirements.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon of chili powder
- 1 tablespoon of pumpkin pie sauce
- 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 1 can of seasoned black beans
- 1 can of chili beans
- 2 cups of cubed fresh pumpkin
- 1 can of diced tomatoes
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 pound of ground turkey
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
Preparation
- Heat the olive oil in a soup pot using medium heat. Brown the turkey in this and stir often until the turkey is no longer pink and is crumbly. This should be done for about 10 minutes. Discard and drain any fat you see.
- Transfer this turkey in a slow cooker and mix this in pumpkin, black beans, pumpkin pie sauce, chili powder, brown sugar, and diced tomatoes. Set the cooker to low heat and then cover this to cook until the pumpkin becomes tender and breaks apart. This will take a minimum of three hours.
