Roasted green beans are a delicious side dish that takes very little time to prepare.


  • 1 pound of fresh green beans
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons of harissa paste
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of sliced almonds, for garnish


  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the olive oil and harissa.
  3. Add the green beans and toss until they are completely coated, then season with salt and pepper.
  4. Arrange green beans in a single layer on a large baking sheet.
  5. Cook for 10 to 12 minutes, stirring every 5 or 6 minutes, until the beans are lightly browned and slightly wilted.
  6. Remove the pan from the oven, and transfer the green beans to a serving bowl.
  7. Top with sliced almonds.
