Ingredients

  • Garlic (minced), 3 cloves
  • Olive oil, 1/3 cup
  • Tomato sauce, ¼ cup
  • Red wine vinegar, 2 tbsp
  • Fresh basil (chopped), 2 tbsp
  • Salt, ½ tsp
  • Cayenne pepper, ¼ tsp
  • Fresh shrimp (deveined, peeled), 2 lb

Directions

  1. Stir together olive oil, garlic, red wine vinegar, and tomato sauce in a large mixing bowl. Season with cayenne pepper, basil, and salt.
  2. Add shrimp to the bowl and stir to coat evenly.
  3. Cover and set to refrigerate for 1 hour before grilling them.
  4. Set the grill to preheat setting and grease it with olive oil.
  5. Remove shrimp from marinade and place on the grill. Discard marinade.
  6. Cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side or until opaque.
  7. Transfer to a platter and serve warm.
