These mashed potatoes are going to taste different and much more delicious than your regular ones. Not only it has a hint of garlic flavor that makes it unique but the potatoes are boiled in chicken broth instead of plain water. Check out the whole recipe and enjoy.

Ingredients

  • Chicken broth, 2 quarts
  • Potatoes (peeled and quartered), 5 lbs
  • Garlic (chopped), 5 cloves
  • Heavy cream, 1 cup
  • Sour cream, ½ cup
  • Fresh chives (chopped), 3 tbsp
  • Salt, ½ tsp
  • Butter (melted), ¼ cup

Directions

  1. Add chicken broth to a large pot and bring it to a gentle boil. Add potatoes and cook until fork tender. Boil for about 15 minutes. Pull out the potatoes and reserve broth.
  2. Add heavy cream to the potatoes and start mashing it. Stir in garlic and 2 tbsp of broth and continue mashing until smooth and creamy. Blend in chives, sour cream, butter, and salt.
  3. If needed, heat through and serve warm for best flavor.
