Ingredients
- 16 oz. of green dried split peas (rinsed and drained)
- 2 cups of ham (diced)
- 2 cups of potatoes (diced)
- 2 cups of carrots (shredded)
- 2 tbsp of garlic (minced)
- 8 cups of vegetable broth
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 cup of minced (minced)
- Black pepper and salt to taste
Preparation
- Place the ham, peas, carrots, potatoes, and garlic in the slow cooker
- Pour the vegetable broth over the meat and vegetables
- Add in parsley and bay leaf
- Cook on low heat for 10 hours
- Add salt and black pepper to taste
- Serve
