Spicy Lasagna with Turkey(4 of 5)



  • 12 oz. of ground turkey (lean)
  • 1 tsp of crushed dried oregano,
  • 1/4 tsp of red pepper (crushed)
  • 15 oz. carton of ricotta cheese (light)
  • 3/4 cups of five-cheese Italian blend (shredded)
  • 10 oz. of spinach (thawed, squeezed dry, and chopped)
  • 1/2 cups of pasta sauce with green pepper and mushrooms
  • 12 lasagna noodles (no boil)
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese (reduced-fat and shredded)


  1. Cook turkey in a skillet over medium high heat, using a wooden spoon to shred it
  2. Take it off heat, add in red pepper and oregano
  3. Combine cheese, cheese blend, and spinach in a bowl
  4. In a slow cooker (oval and 5 qt), spread one cup of pasta sauce, place 1/2 noodles on top of it, add 1/2 of turkey mix, 1 cup of pasta sauce, and 1/2 of water
  5. Spread 1/2 cheese on top of the ingredients and repeat the layers
  6. Cover the slow cooker and cook for 3 hours on low heat
  7. Add the rest of the mozzarella cheese and pasta sauce and cover it for 10 minutes
  8. Serve
