Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • All-purpose flour, 4 tbsp
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Lime zest, 1 tsp
  • Olive oil, 2 tbsp
  • Honey, 4 tbsp

Ingredients for Lime-Butter Sauce

  • Butter (unsalted), 6 tbsp
  • Garlic (pressed), 2 cloves
  • Honey, 1 tbsp
  • Lime juice, 1 ½ tbsp
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Preparation

  1. Set the oven to preheat at 400 degrees F.
  2. Prepare the lime-butter sauce. Place a saucepan over heat and add butter. Cook for about 3 minutes over low-med heat until butter is melted, brown and foamy.
  3. Stir in lime juice, honey and garlic. Stir and season with salt and pepper. Stir to combine and set aside.
  4. Rub salt and pepper on the salmon to season. Sprinkle 1 tbsp all-purpose flour on each salmon fillet and drizzle some honey on each.
  5. Place skillet over med-high heat. Add oil.
  6. Add one salmon fillet to the skillet at a time and cook on both sides for 1 minute until golden brown.
  7. Transfer to a baking sheet and continue with the other fillet.
  8. Set the fillets to bake and cook in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes until completely cooked and tender. When done, remove and transfer to a serving platter.
  9. Pour the lime-butter sauce on top and season with lime zest.
  10. Serve immediately and enjoy.
