Ingredients

  • Soy sauce, ¼ cup
  • Light brown sugar, 1/3 cup
  • 2 salmon fillets
  • Rice wine vinegar, 2 tsp
  • Sesame oil, 1 tsp
  • Olive oil, 1 tsp
  • Fresh chives (chopped), 2 tbsp
  • Sesame seeds, 1 tbsp
  • Sesame oil, 1 tsp

Preparation

  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, vinegar, and brown sugar. Whisk until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Stir in olive oil and sesame oil. Whisk to combine well.
  3. Place salmon fillets on a prepared baking dish. Use half of the brown sugar mixture and brush it on the salmon. Let sit for 15 minutes until soaked.
  4. Set the oven to preheat at 375 degrees F.
  5. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake. Bake for 15 minutes or until the salmon is cooked and tender.
  6. Remove, flip and brush the remaining sauce mixture and sprinkle with sesame seed.
  7. Bake for another 6-8 minutes and transfer to a serving platter.
  8. Sprinkle chopped chives on top and eat it up!
