Ingredients
- 2/3 cup of sugar
- 1/4 cup of almonds (chopped)
- 1/4 cup of shredded coconut (unsweetened)
- 1/3 cup of boiling water
- 2 1/2 cups of rolled oats
- 1/2 cup of wheat germ (toasted)
- 1/2 cup of chopped pitted prunes
- 1/2 cup of chopped dried apricots
- 1 cup of non-fat dry milk
- 2 tbsp of corn syrup
- 1 cup of wheat flakes
- 1 tsp of salt
- 2 tbsp of canola oil
- 1 cup of raisins
Preparation
- Pour boiling water into a bowl to dissolve sugar.
- Include corn syrup, dry milk, and use an electric mixer to beat them for about 2 minutes.
- Cover and place it in the fridge overnight.
- Preheat your oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a bowl, combine wheat flakes, oats, coconut, wheat germ, salt, and almonds.
- Include the milk mixture and oil into the bowl and mix to combine.
- Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet, stirring occasionally, for about 50 minutes.
- Add in prunes, raisins, and apricots and bake for another 5 minutes.
- Allow it to cool before eating.
