Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup of almonds (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup of shredded coconut (unsweetened)
  • 1/3 cup of boiling water
  • 2 1/2 cups of rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup of wheat germ (toasted)
  • 1/2 cup of chopped pitted prunes
  • 1/2 cup of chopped dried apricots
  • 1 cup of non-fat dry milk
  • 2 tbsp of corn syrup
  • 1 cup of wheat flakes
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 2 tbsp of canola oil
  • 1 cup of raisins

Preparation

  1. Pour boiling water into a bowl to dissolve sugar.
  2. Include corn syrup, dry milk, and use an electric mixer to beat them for about 2 minutes.
  3. Cover and place it in the fridge overnight.
  4. Preheat your oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
  5. In a bowl, combine wheat flakes, oats, coconut, wheat germ, salt, and almonds.
  6. Include the milk mixture and oil into the bowl and mix to combine.
  7. Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet, stirring occasionally, for about 50 minutes.
  8. Add in prunes, raisins, and apricots and bake for another 5 minutes.
  9. Allow it to cool before eating.
