This exotic main course from the southeast is going to take you by a storm. The best part about it is though you can eat it with a fork, spread it on bread, or even enjoy with boiled rice. You can adjust the spice according to your own taste. Here is how you can make potato bhujia.
Ingredients
- Potato, ½ kg
- Chicken stalk cubes, 1
- Small onion (chopped), 1
- Garlic clove (crushed), 1
- Oil, 3 tbsp
- Red chili flakes, 2 tsp
- Salt, to taste
- Turmeric powder, 1 tsp
- Green chili (chopped), 1
- Corrainder, for garnish
Preparation
- In a sauce pan, place all the potatoes and fill it up with water.
- Add some salt and boil till the potatoes get soft. Take off heat, let cool and then peel. Pat dry.
- Roughly mash all the potatoes with a fork and set aside.
- In another pan, add the oil, onions and garlic.
- As soon as the onion turns slightly golden, add the mashed potatoes and cook on medium low speed.
- Then add in salt, chili flakes and turmeric. Also add the greed chili. Mix well, lower the heat and cover.
- Let cook for 15 minutes or as long as it takes for the oil to start glistening on top of the potatoes.
- Serve with naan bread or boiled rice!
