If you are running out of time to prepare food for your housewarming party, try making this creamy shrimp and broccoli fettuccine. This pasta recipe contains all the easy-to-find ingredients, and is also quite easy-to-prepare.

Ingredients

  • Salt, to taste
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • 6 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 2/3 cup white wine
  • 2 to 3 cups broccoli florets, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 pound peeled, deveined shrimp
  • 1 pound gluten-free rice fettuccine

Preparation

  1. Add water and salt in a large pot and bring to a boil.
  2. Add fettuccine to the pot and prepare following the packed instructions, and drain.
  3. Toss the pasta in olive oil to keep it from sticking.
  4. In a small saucepan, add 3 quarts water and bring to a boil.
  5. Add broccoli into the boiling water for 1 minute and remove from heat.
  6. Drain the broccoli and run under cold water, and set aside.
  7. Now combine the wine, black pepper, cream, and garlic in a large skillet, and bring to a simmer.
  8. Reduce the heat and simmer for an additional 10 minutes or until the mixture thickens.
  9. Add shrimp in the skillet and let it cook for 3 minutes.
  10. Once the shrimp have turned pink, toss in the parsley and the broccoli.
  11. In the end, mix the fettuccine and season with salt and pepper to taste.
