Creamy Shrimp And Broccoli Fettuccine(5 of 6)

If you are running out of time to prepare food for your housewarming party, try making this creamy shrimp and broccoli fettuccine. This pasta recipe contains all the easy-to-find ingredients, and is also quite easy-to-prepare.
Ingredients
- Salt, to taste
- Extra virgin olive oil
- 6 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- 2/3 cup white wine
- 2 to 3 cups broccoli florets, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 pound peeled, deveined shrimp
- 1 pound gluten-free rice fettuccine
Preparation
- Add water and salt in a large pot and bring to a boil.
- Add fettuccine to the pot and prepare following the packed instructions, and drain.
- Toss the pasta in olive oil to keep it from sticking.
- In a small saucepan, add 3 quarts water and bring to a boil.
- Add broccoli into the boiling water for 1 minute and remove from heat.
- Drain the broccoli and run under cold water, and set aside.
- Now combine the wine, black pepper, cream, and garlic in a large skillet, and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce the heat and simmer for an additional 10 minutes or until the mixture thickens.
- Add shrimp in the skillet and let it cook for 3 minutes.
- Once the shrimp have turned pink, toss in the parsley and the broccoli.
- In the end, mix the fettuccine and season with salt and pepper to taste.
