If you like your chicken sweet, this is the recipe for you. The apple glaze on the chicken is what makes this dish exciting.
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp of salt
- 1/2 tsp of black pepper
- 1 3-1/2-pound chicken (sliced into 8 pieces)
- 2 tbsp of oil
- 1 cup of apple jelly
- 1 tsp of lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp of ground cinnamon
- 3 red apples (cored and sliced into 1/2-inch wedges)
Preparation
- Combine salt, pepper, and flour in a dish and dip the chicken pieces into it to coat them.
- Pour oil in a skillet to heat over medium and cook the chicken in small batches, on each side, for 7 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix the lemon juice, apple jelly, and cinnamon.
- Add the apple wedges next, add the sweet mixture into the skillet, and decrease the heat to medium-low.
- Add the chicken to the skillet and let it simmer for 30 minutes, turning it once while cooking.
- Top the chicken with apples, brush it with remaining glaze, and serve.

What does the 3 in step 5 of the ingredients mean? Is it just an error?
I don’t understand step 5. How do you roll the rolls around the glass and keep the points away?
Don’t understand placing the rolls around the glass, what does that mean? Looks like it is braided over the chicken.
