Pumpkin and Apple Pie(4 of 5)

Ingredients
- Store-bought pie shell (unbaked)
- Salt
- One can of pumpkin puree
- One can of evaporated milk
- 2 tbsp of butter (unsalted)
- 2 Gala apples (sliced into 1/2-inch pieces)
- 2 eggs
- 1/8 tsp of ground cloves
- 1/4 cup of dark brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp of ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup of sugar (granulated)
- 1 tsp of ground nutmeg
- 1 McIntosh apple (sliced into 1/2-inch pieces)
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit
- Place the rack in oven’s center
- Place a 9-inch pie plate with the dough, trim and fold the dough, and place it in the fridge
- Toss McIntosh, Gala apples, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, pinch of salt, and 1/2 tsp of nutmeg in melted butter in a skillet over medium heat
- Cook for 10 minutes, remove from heat, and put it aside
- Combine pumpkin puree, brown sugar, sugar, evaporated milk, pinch of salt, and eggs in a bowl
- Fill the pie plate with the apple mix, pour the pumpkin filling, and sprinkle 1/2 tsp of nutmeg
- Bake for an hour and 30 minutes
- Let it cool, cut the pie, and serve
