Craving bacon that’s chewy but not soggy? Cook 5 or 6 strips at a time inside of a deep fryer filled with cooking oil.
Many restaurants use this technique because it frees up the oven for other menu items. Cook your bacon for about 5 minutes, longer if desired. Remove with tongs or a deep fryer tray – never stick your hand inside of a deep fryer.
Make sure to use a cooking oil that can handle high heat, such as canola oil or vegetable oil. Olive oil doesn’t work well in a deep fryer.
