Stir Fried Green Beans With Parsley And Lemon(4 of 6)

Ingredients

  • White sugar, a pinch
  • Lemon zest, 1 tbsp
  • Green beans (fresh), 1 lb
  • Fresh parsley (chopped), ¼ cup
  • Butter, 2 tbsp
  • Salt, to taste
  • Olive oil, 2 tsp
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Garlic (minced), 2 tsp

Preparation

  1. Bring salted water to a gentle boil. Stir in beans and add sugar. Stir well. Cook for 3-5 minutes until beans are tender and bright green. Drain and give an ice bath to stop cooking immediately.
  2. Place a skillet over med-high heat. Stir in olive oil and butter. Let butter melt. Add garlic and continue cooking until fragrant. Stir in bans, mix and cook for 2-4 minutes until beans are wilted.
  3. Stir in lemon zest and parsley and toss all the ingredients together until coated. Heat through by cooking for another minute. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Transfer to a serving platter. Garnish with more parsley and serve it as a side dish to your favorite steak.
