Spicy, sweet, and totally surprising! This simple recipe can turn out to be so good. Enjoy the crunchy veggies as a sideline for any chicken or beef steak recipe you like and enhance the flavors of your meal.

Ingredients

  • Carrots, 1 lb
  • Pure maple syrup, 1 tbsp
  • Olive oil, 1 tbsp
  • Cayenne pepper, ¼ tsp
  • Salt, ½ tsp

Preparation

  1. Set the oven to preheat at 400 degrees F.
  2. Wash carrots and peel them using a vegetable peeler.
  3. Slice them up into circles or in a julienne cut. Transfer to a bowl.
  4. Stir in olive oil and maple syrup.
  5. Season with cayenne pepper and salt. Toss to coat well. Spread on a prepared baking sheet and set to bake.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes or until done.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy your crunchy, sweet-spicy side dish.
