Need a quick chocolate fix? Try this moist chocolate fudge cake recipe. This recipe is a perfect combination of a chocolate sponge cake with a gooey chocolate sauce at the bottom.
This fudge cake is tastier with ice-cream and can be a good dessert for a small gathering.
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 110g self raising flour
- 30g cocoa
- 110g caster sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 4 tablespoon milk
- Pinch of salt
- 55g melted margarine
Sauce
- 30g cocoa
- 110g brown sugar
- 150ml water
Preparation
- In a small bowl, add 30g cocoa, flour, salt, and caster sugar and mix well.
- Now add vanilla extract, egg, melted margarine, and milk into the bowl and mix again.
- Once all the ingredients are properly combined, place in a microwave-safe bowl.
- For the sauce, combine 110g of brown sugar and 30g cocoa.
- Sprinkle it on top of the batter.
- Now warm 150ml water for 30 seconds and add on top of the cake.
- Gently prick a few holes into the cake using a fork so that some water flows into the cake.
- Place this bowl into the microwave and cook at high temperature for 5 minutes.
- Once the cake stops rising, take the bowl out of the microwave.
- Take the cake out in a plate and enjoy with custard or ice cream.
