Spicy crab tacos are a sophisticated Mexican dish that’s surprisingly easy to prepare, so don’t let the long ingredient list intimidate you. Serve these spicy crab tacos to your family on a weeknight, or offer them as an appetizer at your next cocktail party.
Ingredients
- 8 large flour tortillas, quartered
- 2 large red radishes, diced
- 1/2 of a red onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup of chopped cilantro
- 2 teaspoons of Sriracha chile sauce
- 1 large jalapeño pepper
- 1/2 of a red bell pepper, diced
- ½ of a yellow bell pepper, diced
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon of chopped mint
- 1/2 pound of lump crabmeat
- 2 medium tomatoes, diced
- Salt
Preparation
- Create a salsa by combining the radishes, tomatoes, red onion, 2 tablespoons of the cilantro, Sriracha, and a dash of salt.
- Char the jalapeno, then remove its skin and chop it into small pieces.
- Combine it with the other peppers, as well as the lime juice, olive oil, mint, and remaining cilantro.
- Add crab meat and coat it with the mixture.
- In another medium bowl, combine the jalapeño, red and yellow bell peppers, olive oil, lime juice, mint and the remaining 2 tablespoons of cilantro.
- Gently fold in the crabmeat and season with salt.
- Grill tortillas until puffed. Top with crab mixture and salsa.
