Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of honey
  • 6 tbsp of cocoa powder (unsweetened and sifted)
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp of butter (unsalted and melted)
  • 1/4 cup of powdered sugar (sifted)
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 1/4 cups of dry and non-fat milk powder
  • Wax sheet

Preparation

  1. Combine cocoa powder, vanilla, and honey in a bowl using a whisk.
  2. Add in the melted butter and whisk.
  3. Add the sugar, 1 pinch of salt, and whisk.
  4. Use a wooden spoon to mix 1/4 cup of milk powder at a time.
  5. Knead the hardened mixture with your hands.
  6. Form a ball with the dough and place it on wax paper already coated with oil.
  7. Allow the dough to rest for 10 minutes.
  8. When the dough becomes a disc, you need to cut it into to 3/4 inch long strips, cut it into 2-inch strips, and cut the wax sheet into 3 1/2 X 5-inch parts.
  9. Cover the candies with the pieces of wax sheet.
  10. Place them in the fridge.
  11. Serve at room temperature.
