Spicy Cranberry Sauce(2 of 7)

The spicy cranberry sauce includes quinces, which you can find at any local store that sells Mexican food.
Prepare the spicy cranberry sauce dip at your next event to give people something new to dip their snacks into.
Ingredients
- 2 cups of white sugar
- 1 tsp of cinnamon (ground)
- 2 cups of water
- 1 pound of quinces (peeled, cored, and diced)
- 1 zest of orange
- 2 tbsp of white wine vinegar
- 3 cups of cranberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1/2 tsp of cloves (ground)
- 1/2 tsp of ground allspice
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- 1/2 cup of orange juice
Preparation
- Combine cloves, sugar, cinnamon, and allspice into a pan.
- Add water, increase the heat, and bring it to a boil, keep stirring until the sugar completely dissolves.
- Stir in the quince and decrease the heat.
- Cook the quince for 5 minutes.
- Add in orange juice, orange zest, cranberries, and vinegar.
- Bring the ingredients to a boil over high heat, decrease the heat to medium-low, and cook for 20 minutes.
- Cook the sauce before serving.
