Margaritas are always refreshing and a great drink to complement your snacks. This pineapple margarita recipe is perfect for those who love the taste of this tropical fruit. Try this margarita and serve to friends who are over to hang out at your place.
Note: You can make simple syrup by heating equal volumes of sugar and water until the sugar is dissolved.
Ingredients
- 6 ounces (3/4 cup) Cointreau or triple sec
- 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
- 3 ice cubes
- 1 1/2 cups fresh pineapple chunks (from 1 small pineapple)
- 1 1/2 ounces fresh juice from about 2 lemons (3 tablespoons)
- 2 1/4 ounces fresh juice from 3 to 4 limes (4 1/2 tablespoons)
- 1 1/2 ounces simple syrup (see note above for the recipe) (3 tablespoons)
- 4 1/2 ounces tequila of your choice (9 tablespoons)
Preparation
- Add lemon juice, salt, tequila, lime juice, pineapple, simple syrup, and triple sec in a blender.
- Add 3 ice cubes and blend well.
- Stop the blender when the mixture is completely smooth.
- Pour this mixture into a pitcher and refrigerate for 3 hours.
- When it is time to serve, add crushed ice into each glass and pour the drink on top.
