This broccoli salad recipe is not only sweet, but also has a slight spiciness to it. This salad is perfect feeding kids who are not fans of this vegetable. This recipe is also great as a side dish on the lunch or dinner table, and can also be used as a post work-out snack.
Ingredients
- 2 small stalks of broccoli (cleaned and cut into small pieces)
- Handful of roasted cashews
- A pinch black sesame seeds
- ½ cup sweet and sour sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 stalks of green scallions (sliced)
Preparation
- In a large bowl, add ¼ cup of sweet and sour sauce.
- Now add the broccoli into the bowl and combine ensuring that the broccoli is evenly covered with the sauce.
- Add a tablespoon of sesame oil and mix well.
- Now add some more sweet and sour sauce and sesame seeds.
- Add roasted cashews to the bowl and mix again.
- Lastly, add the scallions into the bowl and mix all the ingredients together.
- You can add more sauce based on your liking and enjoy the power-packed and delicious salad with the family.
