Cincinnati Cheese Coney Hot Dog (2 of 5)

This style of hot dog is sure to wow you with a generous helping of shredded cheese, it’s pure culinary heaven!
Ingredients
Serves 12
- 2 pounds- Ground Beef
- 1 ½ cups- Ketchup
- ½ cup- Chopped onion
- ¼ cup- vinegar
- ¼ cup- Yellow mustard
- ¼ cup- Sugar
- ½ tsp- Ground black pepper
- ¾ tsp- Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp- Celery seed
- Standard all-beef hot dogs and buns
- 12 oz- Mild cheddar cheese, shredded
Preparation
- Cook ground beef and onion in a large pot over medium heat, stirring to break lumps until the beef is browned.
- Transfer to a slow cooker pot and add ketchup, vinegar mustard and sugar.
- Season with salt, pepper, celery seed and Worcestershire sauce, cover and simmer for 2-3 hours.
- Prepare standard hot dogs, top with chili sauce and shredded cheese.
