Ingredients

  1. 16 oz. of green dried split peas (rinsed and drained)
  2. 2 cups of ham (diced)
  3. 2 cups of potatoes (diced)
  4. 2 cups of carrots (shredded)
  5. 2 tbsp of garlic (minced)
  6. 8 cups of vegetable broth
  7. 1 bay leaf
  8. 1/2 cup of minced (minced)
  9. Black pepper and salt to taste

Preparation

  1. Place the ham, peas, carrots, potatoes, and garlic in the slow cooker
  2. Pour the vegetable broth over the meat and vegetables
  3. Add in parsley and bay leaf
  4. Cook on low heat for 10 hours
  5. Add salt and black pepper to taste
  6. Serve
