Tired of the same eggs and toast every morning? Make your breakfast interesting by adding chicken to it. This amazing recipe is not only delicious and perfect to start your morning with, but is also a low carb, gluten free and genuinely paleo. So, regardless of what diet you are following (or not following), you can add this amazing recipe to your breakfast list.


  • Chicken (ground), 2 lbs
  • Natural maple syrup, 3 tbsp
  • Rubbed sage, 2 tsp
  • Sea salt, 2 tsp
  • Garlic powder, 1 tsp
  • Parsley (dried), 1 ½ tsp
  • Black pepper, 1 tsp
  • Onion powder, 1 tsp
  • Thyme (dried), ½ tsp
  • Nutmeg (ground), ¼ tsp
  • Red pepper flakes, ¼ tsp
  • Cloves (ground), a pinch
  • Olive oil, 1 tbsp


  1. Place chicken in a large mixing bowl. Add maple syrup, rubbed sage, garlic powder, parsley, onion powder, thyme, cloves, nutmeg, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Season with salt and black pepper and combine everything together. Mix until the spices are all well incorporated.
  3. Use the mixture to form patties (not more than 2 oz. each). You can start with rolling it first and flattening it to achieve the perfect size and shape.
  4. Place a skillet over low-med heat. Add olive oil.
  5. When oil is hot, add the patties to the pan.
  6. Cook for 2-3 minutes and flip to cook on the other side. Cook for another 3 minutes until brown from both sides.
  7. Remove and place on a serving platter. The patties can be served with scrambled eggs.
