Baked Chicken Teriyaki

  • 12 chicken thighs (skinless)
  • ¼ teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon of ground ginger
  • 1 minced clove of garlic
  • ¼ cup of cider vinegar
  • ½ cup of soy sauce
  • ½ cup of white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of cold water
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch


  1. Take a small saucepan and place it on low heat. Combine in it ground black pepper, ginger, garlic, vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, and cold water. Allow it to simmer and stir frequently until the sauce thickens forming bubbles.
  2. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees C.
  3. Take a baking dish of 9×13 inches and grease it lightly. Place the chicken pieces in it and brush chicken using sauce. Turn pieces over and brush once more.
  4. Bake for around 30 minutes. Turn the pieces around and then bake for further 30 minutes until the juices have run clear. Brush every 10 minutes using sauce while cooking.
