Nutella is crazy popular and everyone just loves to add this delicious chocolate sauce mix to every dessert that they can get their hands on. But because cookies are made regularly in every American household, we have the perfect combination of a dessert that combines Nutella and chocolate chip cookies.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon coarse sea salt and some for sprinkling
  • ¾ cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup (16 tbsp.) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 large egg plus 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • 1¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup Nutella

Preparation

  • Add Nutella in a plastic bag such that the spread is in one corner of the bag. Twist the bag without letting the spread get squeezed out. Cut off one corner of the bag to make a small pipe.
  • Pipe little chocolate on parchment paper lined on a baking sheet. Make two dozen chocolate droplets and place the baking sheet in the freezer for 2 hours.
  • Melt the butter in a medium skillet over medium heat and cook whisking frequently. When the butter begins to brown, remove from the heat.
  • Now line baking sheets with parchments paper.
  • Whisk together the baking soda, salt, and flour in a bowl.
  • Combine the sugars and the brown butter in a food processor over medium speed. Once smooth, add in the egg yolk and mix.
  • Add the Greek yogurt and vanilla in the mixer and combine on low speed.
  • Add in the dry ingredients into the mixer and make sure they are well incorporated, and fold in the chocolate chips. Place the dough in the fridge for 30 minutes to chill.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and scoop 2 tablespoon dough and press a deep notch into the center of the dough. Fill this deep indentation with frozen Nutella and cover the center with the dough from the edges such that Nutella is completely sealed.
  • Pinch small holes into the dough and place the cookies in the baking sheet and into the oven. Bake until the cookies turn golden brown and are properly cooked.
  • Once cooked, sprinkle the cookies with salt and enjoy.
