Fried chicken is one of the most commonly eaten dishes. Everyone at one point in their life has made fried chicken in their home.

  • 6 chicken drumsticks
  • 6 chicken thighs
  • 2 tbsp of salt
  • 1 quart of water (cold)
  • 2 cups of buttermilk (cold)
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 tsp of chicken seasoning mix
  • 3 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp of chicken seasoning mix
  • 2 quarts of vegetable oil


  1. Place the chicken drumsticks and thighs in a bowl.
  2. Pour in cold water and add in salt.
  3. Cover the bowl and place it in the fridge for about 8 hours or for a day.
  4. Wash the chicken.
  5. In another bowl, combine beaten egg, 1 tsp of chicken seasoning, and buttermilk.
  6. Place the chicken in the buttermilk mixture and place it in the fridge for about an hour.
  7. Heat the oil in a saucepan to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  8. Place 2 tbsp of chicken seasoning and flour in a bowl and mix to combine.
  9. Remove the chicken from the buttermilk mixture, shake off any excess mixture, and place it in the flour. Remove excess flour from the chicken.
  10. Place the chicken into the oil and fry each side for about 15 minutes.
  11. Cool the chicken before serving it.
