15) Slow Cooker Brussels Sprouts (15 of 15)

Prepare these brussels sprouts in the slow cooker to free up space in your oven for other dishes.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 2 pounds of brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of butter, cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Preparation

  1. Make a balsamic reduction by adding balsamic vinegar and brown sugar to a small saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Bring the mixture to a slight boil, then set aside and let cool.
  3. Place brussels sprouts into a slow cooker. Stir in olive oil and season with salt and pepper, then top with butter.
  4. Cover and cook on low heat for 3 to 4 hours or on high heat for 1 to 2 hours.
  5. Drizzle with balsamic reduction and top with Parmesan before serving.
