Making the perfect piecrust is harder than making pie itself. Most people struggle with the crust’s color, unable to keep it light. And if you tried the multiple foil strips technique and only ended up using endless foil strips, we have the right tip for you to get your pie crust right.

  • First fold a twelve inch foil piece in half to form a rectangle.
  • Fold the foil once more so that a square is formed.
  • Now take scissors and cut out a quarter circle from the square shaped foil.
  • Open the folded foil and check whether the opening is sized accurately as the pie or not. The cutting in the foil should be such that it covers only the rim of the crust.
  • Now insert the foil edge under the pie dish and bake the pie.
